Three years ago I started quilting a tree skirt but when it came time to top stitch and bind it I left it...until this year. I finished all the top stitching, gold stars, and put on the binding. Maybe next year I will finish the binding and it will be complete. I did use it this year even though it wasn't finished. Oh well, no one really noticed. Here are pictures of it under my tree after I removed all the ornaments.
This is a place for me to show my card and quilt creations. As a busy mom and student they will be just bits at times and other times whole creations!

christmas treasure
This September I decided to make swing bags from an Amy Butler pattern for all my female friends and family. My goal was one a week so that I wouldn't get behind but with exams and papers due in October I soon lost the habit and completed my last one on Boxing Day for my mom. Here are a few of them (sorry if the pictures are a bit fuzzy):
I asked everyone to tell me there two favorite colors and if they liked polka dots, stripes or flowers. Each of these bags was made with this in mind. I, of course, had creative license but it was fun to try to pick what suited some very different people.
