my two "auction" bags

Our church youth group goes to Mexico each year on a mission trip and they have an auction to raise funds.  I decided to see of I could make two bags and donate them.  Well the first I finished on Sunday and the second today.  The auction is tomorrow so we will see if they sell!  I told my mom she couldn't bid on them out of pity.:)  I won't be there but I will find out on Sunday.
Here is some pics of the first one, a Frenchy bag from Amy Butler.  Most of the fabric is Ikea.  They have some great graphic prints.
The second bag is also a pattern by Amy Butler but is a Swing bag.  Again the fabric is Ikea.
I created tags using my computer, part of a label stamp, and these great paper flowers from Little Birdie Secrets.  They are easy to make and each is different.

Day 363 at 365 Cards

Sorry it's been a couple weeks.  I had reading break at school and did nothing.

Today is Sophie Style day at 365 Cards and her style is clean and simple.  This isn't usually my style but I so loved her card so I thought I would try.  It's my dad's birthday tomorrow, Happy Birthday Dad!, and I made this card for him.  I flipped the circles and used some birthday paper I just got from imaginisce (All kinds of Happy).  The paper is Brazzill texturz.  The sentiment continues on the inside with "a very happy birthday".  Both are from Verve stamps.

Comments

For those of you (my friends and family) who have tried to comment and weren't able to, I changed the settings so that anyone can comment.  Thanks for all your kind words to come. :)  Sorry about the confusion.  Who knew that there were so many different settings?

Card Patterns Sketch 51

Okay so I thought I was done for the day but I saw this pattern at Card Patterns. We were watching Back to the Future with the kids and I thought I would make a card.

I used my bird stamp from Old Island Stamp Company for this one as well. I like how it turned out. Maybe I can use this one for Valentines?

Day 348 - Keep it Simple at 365 Cards

The instructions were to keep it simple. I think that I am usually in the middle of really embellished and simple. This was difficult for me to do and say that I like it but here it is (my husband wanted to steal it for Valentines!).

The bird stamp is from The Old Island Stamp Company and the sentiment from the Micheals $1.50 bin. The flower is left over from when I was working through my MIL birthday gift.

Here is my bag for the week. This one I'm going to keep as I never did make myself a swing bag. This is a pattern from Amy Butler and is called the Frenchy Bag. I have included a picture of the inside. It has great built in pockets.

These are the project to come, hope fully this week:
Can you see a new Frenchy Bag with the dark grey as the outside, the flower grey as the top and the green geometric as the inside? I'm looking forward to this one.
Have a good week!!

a little bit of everything

My goal this week was to make two bags for church but instead I finished my daughters that she kept reminding me about. :) Below are two pics of it. The fabric was sooo cute. All the little fairies in a patterned forest.

I also created this card for Day 341 - Subsititution Please at 365 Cards. I had wanted to try creating cards with a quilt look and made three when I was supposed to be finishing my daughters bag.

The papers are from a paperpack by Colorbok. The sentiment stamp is a new one I ordered from Verve stamps (Love them!). The rest is stuff from my stash.

On to things unrelated to crafts. The Olympic torch came near our house today and we went out to watch. We didn't realize that we were at a transition point. Above are the two torch bearers trading the flame and doing a little dance after. It was fun for the kids to see. Memories forever.
Enjoy your week!
