Day 336 at 365 Cards

I made it!! I did all the cards for this weeks challenges at 365 Cards. My goal for next week is to make two bags that I hope to donate to my church's fundraising auction for the youth. Well enough of that here is my card.

Today it was 3 S's.
Stripes, Square, and Spring

Paper: Nana's Kids, DCWV, it is striped on a square card.
Cardstck: bits and pieces
Ribbon: Michaels
Pearls: Recollections
Sentiment: ? I colored it with a SU! marker

Doesn't it look like spring? It has been pretty warm here and some of my bulbs are starting to appear but it will get colder this next week so we will see how soon the flowers come.

Day 326 - Card Recipe at 365 Cards

With a new semester at school I have been busy and haven't been able to complete as many challenges as I would like. I have finished parts of different challenges. When I saw the challenge for Day 326 I figured I could do it. One kid was in the the shower and the other in the tub, hubby was still on his way home so I pulled out my supplies and went to work.

Here is my card. The patterned papers are from DCWV Matstacks. The buttons and ribbon were from Fabricland, mine closed and had almost everything at 70% off in December. The sentiment was from somewhere, I never keep the packages.

The Recipe was as follows:

4.25 x 5.5 card

4x4 patterned paper

2x2 patterned paper

ribbon

3 buttons

sentiment

I love these metal buttons. I just slid them on the narrow ribbon.

My Nieces Bags

After making and sharing my swing bags with my mom, sister, and sister-in-laws at Christmas I had to make two more. My niece asked if I could make one for her and so I made one for her and her sister. One told me that they liked purple, green and blue while the other likes orange, yellow, green and blue. It is often hard to find fabric with so many colors but I think I did alright. I love how these turned out!! For the orange and blue one I used two fat quarters for the outside so that I wouldn't have to make a 'quick' run to the quilt store. I never come out with just what I need so I decided to make do with what I had.

My daughter keeps asking when I am going to make her bag. Hopefully soon...
